Human Technologies ("us", "we", or "our") operates the North mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.
Through our secure third-party partner, Plaid, we request access to financial data from your connected bank accounts, including account balances, transaction history, and account details. We never see, handle, or store your bank account login credentials.

North uses the collected data for various purposes:

- To generate personalized budgets and financial insights
- To track your progress towards your financial goals

3. Data Retention and Disposal Policy
Our principle is to retain personal data only for as long as it is necessary to provide our services to the user.
- Active Accounts: All personal data will be retained for the duration that a user's North account remains active.
- User-Initiated Deletion: A user may request the complete deletion of their account and all associated personal data at any time by contacting our support team. Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will permanently delete all personal data from our production systems within 30 days.

The security of your data is critical to us. We rely on industry-leading, SOC 2 compliant platforms to handle all sensitive data and infrastructure. All user data is encrypted at-rest and in-transit.
